Café Alf Resco—affectionately known as Alf’s—is one of Dartmouth’s most beloved institutions. Nestled in the heart of the town’s historic Old Quarter, just moments from the Lower Ferry, Alf’s has been serving locals and visitors since April 1st, 1994, building a reputation for vibrant atmosphere, fresh local food, and community spirit. Recently, under the new ownership of Andy and Marilize, Alf’s is proudly family-run and independent. With its warm, lively atmosphere, it's a place where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy good food and drink.

Open 7am–2pm, seven days a week, the café is known for its brilliant breakfasts, delicious lunches, barista‑made coffee and its famously quirky, rustic setting, where diners relax among colourful décor, courtyard seating and the hum of locals chatting over the morning paper.
