Cottage Beer Project is proud to remain a small independent brewery, allowing complete focus on quality, consistency and customer service. Every beer is brewed in small batches, ensuring careful attention throughout the process.
The brewery has received recognition for its beers and its environmental commitment. Its Black IPA, Panther, was awarded the SIBA South West Speciality IPA Champion in December 2025, and reached the SIBA National finals in March 2026. Panther also received Best New Drink Product at the Food Drink Devon Awards 2024/25, where its traditional IPA, Hit for Six, was also awarded Platinum standard. The business has also achieved Gold standard from Food Drink Devon for its sustainability.
Sustainability is central to the business, with the brewery achieving single-use plastic-free accreditation and working with organisations including the North Devon Biosphere and Exmoor National Park to support environmental initiatives.
We can cater to external events, such as weddings, parties, and corporate events. It’s possible to create branded batches of beer, or bottle labels unique to an event or business.

Meet the Brewer events always go well, and our Head Brewer, Dan, can be booked for entertaining talks, where he walks you through his brewing journey and the trials of small-scale commercial brewing. As a small business, we can be very flexible for arrangements and other ideas.
Contract brewing is another speciality we offer. 200 litre batches of bottled beers can be brewed to your recipe, ideal for own-branded retail sales, or a large event.
