Gather is an acclaimed neighbourhood restaurant located on Fore Street in Totnes, offering contemporary British dining built around the very best of Devon’s farmed, fished and foraged produce. The restaurant’s ethos is summed up in four words that guide its menus: Hedge, River, Field, Kitchen.

Gather’s menus are shaped by the seasons and by close relationships with local farmers, fishermen and foragers. Ingredients are drawn from local waters, surrounding fields and Devon hedgerows, often incorporating wild and lesser‑used produce that reflects the landscape around Totnes.
The offering centres on tasting menus, allowing the kitchen to showcase creativity, technical skill and a deep respect for provenance. Vegetarian and vegetable‑led tasting menus are given equal importance, highlighting the breadth of the region’s plant produce as much as its meat and fish. 

Gather is led by chef Harrison Brockington, whose work has earned widespread critical recognition. In 2024, Harrison was named South West Chef of the Year, and in 2026 he was announced as a finalist for the prestigious Roux Scholarship, one of the UK’s most respected culinary awards. The restaurant has also featured on Channel 4’s Remarkable Places to Eat, reinforcing its growing reputation as one of Devon’s most exciting dining destinations.
