Hattiers Rum
The Distillery, Haye Farm, Holberton, PL8 1JZ
Member Overview
Born in the rolling hills of South Devon at Haye Farm, Holbeton, Hattiers Rum has established itself as one of the UK’s most progressive and premium rum houses. Founded in 2017 by Philip Everett‑Lyons, Hattiers blends exceptional cask‑aged rums from around the world and marries them with pure Dartmoor spring water, creating refined, honest rums with no added sugar, no colouring and full transparency of origin.

Hattiers is also Europe’s first B Corp certified rum brand, using the “quadruple bottom line” approach of People, Planet, Profit and Purpose to shape everything from sourcing to packaging.

The Rum Collection:
Hattiers works with over 25 renowned distilleries worldwide, blending pot and column still rums from Barbados, Jamaica, Guatemala, Panama, the Dominican Republic and beyond — then bottling in Devon.
Egremont Premium Reserve Rum- Medium‑bodied and smooth, with orchard fruit, warm spice and a creamy finish. Blended from aged rums including Barbados, Guatemala, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
Eminence Blended Aged White Rum- Light‑medium bodied with soft fruit, vanilla and pineapple aromas; a clean, dry finish ideal for sipping or cocktails.
Resolute Navy Strength Rum-Bold, layered and complex. Notes of toasted sugar, charred oak, liquorice and subtle smoke — a serious rum for enthusiasts.
All Hattiers' rums are additive‑free, with no sweeteners, no artificial flavours and no caramel colouring.

A Sustainability Leader in Global Rum. Hattiers’ sustainability commitments place them at the forefront of modern spirits production:
  • Europe’s first B Corp rum and part of 1% for the Planet.
  • Plastic‑free from day one, using Flexi‑Hex packaging to eliminate plastic air sacs.
  • Ongoing transition to lightweight, recycled glass bottles, reducing emissions by 30%+.
  • Launching refill pouches and bag‑in‑box formats to cut single‑use glass waste.
  • Conducting full carbon audits across Scopes 1–3 with verified footprint reporting.
  • Partnership with Ecologi, supporting 43 verified carbon‑avoidance projects, preventing 187+ tonnes of CO₂e and planting 3,200+ trees.
  • Active involvement in local environment initiatives, including the Devon Environment Foundation.
The brand also co‑founded the Sustainable Drinks Cabinet, a network of more than 50 B Corp drinks brands driving sector‑wide change.

Founder Philip Everett‑Lyons approaches rum like a master blender, selecting the best spirits globally to “fit, lift or complement each other” before bringing them together in Devon.
Hattiers deliberately chose to be an independent rum blender, not a distiller, enabling access to world‑class rums and allowing for a wine‑house approach to selection and blending — valuing provenance, restraint and balance.
The result: a modern British rum house with classic integrity and uncompromising standards.

  • Multi‑award‑winning across national and international spirits competitions.
  • First British rum to receive global recognition for prioritising purpose over profit.
  • Stocked by Waitrose, Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nichols, The Whisky Exchange, and leading independent retailers.

Why Hattiers Stands Out:
  • Leading the UK rum renaissance through transparency, authenticity and global sourcing.
  • Strong ethical compass: sustainability embedded at every level.
  • Beautifully balanced blends suited to sipping, high‑end cocktails or premium gifting.
  • A Devon brand making international waves.
