Using apples grown in its own historic ridge and furrow orchard, the business crafts traditional Devon ciders that celebrate heritage orchard management, natural fermentation and exceptional fruit quality.
Named after the unique orchard system in which its apples are grown, Ridge & Furrow produces naturally sweet, bottle-conditioned and traditional craft ciders that showcase the character of over 30 historic West Country cider apple varieties.

Why choose Ridge & Furrow Cider?
Ridge & Furrow Cider is deeply rooted in provenance, tradition and sustainability. The apples come exclusively from the business's own historic ridge and furrow orchard, believed to date back to the late nineteenth century and home to more than 30 traditional cider apple varieties.
The orchard is managed using a low-intervention, wildlife-friendly approach, with no artificial fertilisers and a strong focus on biodiversity. It was recognised by Devon Wildlife Trust as a County Wildlife Site in Excellent Condition.
Ridge & Furrow uses the traditional technique of arrested fermentation, allowing the cider to retain its natural sweetness without adding sugar. All ciders are:
- Made from 100% cider apple juice
- Unfiltered and unfined
- Vegan-friendly
- Produced without added water or sugar
- Naturally fermented and bottle conditioned where appropriate
