Village Farm Cafe
Member Overview
Perched high above the Salcombe–Kingsbridge estuary in East Portlemouth, Village Farm Café is part of a working certified organic livestock farm and thriving artisan hub. Set within a beautifully refurbished timber‑framed barn, it offers a warm, community‑minded space centred on nutritious, organic, homemade food and a deep connection to the land around it.

The café is open every day from 9 am–4 pm, serving brunch (9:00–11:30), lunch (12:00–15:00) and sweet treats all day

Food Philosophy & Provenance
Village Farm Café is committed to:
  • Local, organic and seasonal produce is at the heart of its menu. [southhams.com]
  • Using ingredients from the farm’s own rare‑breed pigs, Devon Red cattle and organically grown vegetables, plus carefully selected local suppliers.
  • Creating healthy, varied menus inspired by what’s growing in the farm garden and fields that week. [southhams.com]
  • Avoiding unnecessary processing and celebrating “simple things done simply.”
The setting is relaxed, friendly, dog‑ and buggy‑welcoming, and ideal for walkers starting or ending a coastal route. Large parking makes it a great estuary‑side pit stop.
