Perched high above the Salcombe–Kingsbridge estuary in East Portlemouth, Village Farm Café is part of a working, certified-organic livestock farm and a thriving artisan hub. Set within a beautifully refurbished timber‑framed barn, it offers a warm, community‑minded space centred on nutritious, organic, homemade food and a deep connection to the land around it.
The café is open every day from 9 am–4 pm, serving brunch (9:00–11:30), lunch (12:00–15:00) and sweet treats all day.
Food Philosophy & Provenance
Village Farm Café is committed to:
- Local, organic and seasonal produce is at the heart of its menu.
- Using ingredients from the farm’s own rare‑breed pigs, Devon Red cattle and organically grown vegetables, plus carefully selected local suppliers. Creating healthy, varied menus inspired by what’s growing in the farm garden and fields that week.
- Avoiding unnecessary processing and celebrating “simple things done simply.”
The setting is relaxed, friendly, dog‑ and buggy‑welcoming, and ideal for walkers starting or ending a coastal route. Large parking makes it a great estuary‑side pit stop.
