Located on Winner Street, Gaia Coffee provides high‑quality coffee within a welcoming space designed to support wellbeing, inclusion and community connection. 

More Than a Coffee Shop
While excellent coffee is at its core, Gaia Coffee was created with a broader social mission. The café operates as a community hub, aiming to reduce social isolation and improve mental well-being through everyday connection and shared space. Its activities include:
  • Running a friendly, accessible community coffee shop
  • A suspended coffee scheme, allowing customers to buy drinks for those in need
  • Hosting youth café sessions and community events
  • Providing volunteering and employment training opportunities
  • Supporting the development of wider social‑enterprise initiatives
These values are embedded in the day-to-day operations of the café, making Gaia Coffee a vital part of Paignton’s community fabric. 

Speciality Coffee & Welcoming Food
Gaia Coffee serves carefully made speciality coffee, roasted in‑house, alongside light lunches, homemade food and cakes. Drinks are crafted with care and designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all, whether customers drop in for a quick coffee or stay longer to connect.
Recent additions include:
  • House‑roasted coffee and cold brew
  • A growing range of iced drinks, including matcha lattes
  • Coffee is available to drink in Gaia’s hidden garden, offering a peaceful retreat in the town centre
All drinks can be enjoyed on site or taken away, with Gaia’s team placing equal emphasis on quality and kindness in service. 

Inclusive, Welcoming & Volunteer‑Led
Gaia Coffee is known locally for its warm welcome and inclusive ethos. The space is designed to feel safe and accessible, attracting a wide cross‑section of the community. Volunteers play a key role in the café, gaining experience, skills, and confidence while supporting its mission.
